Photo notes
With these detailed photo notes we would like to inform you about the processing of your image, sound and video data and to provide you with comprehensive information on the data protection rights and claims to which you are entitled in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the European Data Protection Basic Regulation (EU-DSGVO).
Within the framework of ruhrSUMMIT, we, Ruhr:Hub GmbH, as the organiser, reserve the right to create, process and distribute image, sound and video recordings of artists, participants and the digital platform for PR and public relations purposes, unless objected to in individual cases.
Our legitimate interest is to inform and draw attention to the contents of ruhrSUMMIT within the framework of PR and public relations work. This is done, for example, in the form of photo galleries on our website, in newsletters and other publications.
Furthermore, the image and sound recordings made are also used for presentation on social media channels, in particular Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The image, sound and video recordings made at ruhrSUMMIT are also passed on to media representatives of newspapers, radio stations and online editorial offices for editorial reporting as part of our press work. We also provide the partner companies, organisations or institutions involved in the respective event with image, audio and video material for individual follow-up reporting.

Participants have the choice of watching the event with or without the camera turned on. For some formats of ruhrSUMMIT, such as the Table Discussions and Speed Matches, it is strongly recommended that anonymity be removed and the camera switched on so that a stimulating exchange and networking can take place.
The participants should be aware that their background is visible in the live streams and they should make it pleasant and neutral for the other participants. The event is partly streamed from the Jahrhunderthalle in Bochum. This means that participants, speakers and third persons who are on site can appear in the video recordings.
